Like most popular Scottish folksongs, this one is rooted in history, butnow has been transformed into a nonsense song. Aiken Drum, with his clo thes made of tasty food, is creatively portrayed here in this clever edition with Scottish drone sounds, the melody passing from part to part, and underlying snare drum. A cheerful encore or folk selection!
