This multicultural piece hails from Venezuela, homeland to USC choral director, Dr. Cristian Grases. It is a “working song” about women grinding corn, capturing the flavor of the people. Including eurhythmic motions and percussive sounds, the music celebrates the joyful nature and active life of these common folks. This piece is also available in 2-part (SA) and SAB voicings.
