Ceremonial Piece for Brass was composed during the celebration of the Bicentennial of the United States of America in 1976 - one of many such projects sponsored by the National Endowment of the Arts. It's a short, occasional piece featuring individualistic use of triads. The tone is one of excitement and anticipation, heralding a ceremony.
