Mendelssohn's incomplete Christus gave promise of being on of his greatest efforts and the choruses from this work are among the greatest in the repertory today. Here is an excellent adaptation of all of the completed choruses of the Master connected by narrative that prepares the congregation for its sudden projection into the trial scene. A beautiful Lenten offering containing some of the most beautiful music ever written for voices. Performance time - 30 minutes.
