This highly expressive band work was first conceived by the composer as a choral work of the same name, using the words of the poem "Dreams in the Dusk" by Carl Sandburg. This lyric work uses textural scoring that showcases each section of the wind band. With sonorous brass melodies, moving low woodwind textures, and memorable melody, this composition evokes the contemplative nature of dreams. (Dur. 4:00)
