Exciting rhythms in a mixed meter framework characterize this intriguingnew work. It spins a musical portrait of a journey from wrongful impri sonment to freedom, and travels across some very interesting musical ground along the way. Overall, The Escape comes off as an exuberant celebration of freedom!
