This short, energetic, and jazzy piece is a lot of fun to play and listen to. The title refers to repeated patterns and phrases that provide support for the melodies. Intertwined syncopated lines require players with excellent rhythmic sense. Composer Scott McKenzie uses a large palette of colors with moving lines, percussive effects, and rich harmonies that will make Groovy Loops an essential part of every band's library.
