This ingenious little solo is a highly successful recital piece. Writtenby Jennifer Linn to “sound hard,” it is actually very easy to learn, even for younger students, because of the repetitive patterns found throughout. The melody is woven between the hands throughout in short motives. The R.H. plays broken 3rds throughout, moving by steps downthe keyboard, while the L.H. plays either two black–key notes or open 5ths in crosshand, alternating motives. Hal Leonard Student Piano Library Level 3 (Late Elementary/Early Intermediate); 6/8; allegro tempo; syncopated pedaling; motives in eighth notes throughout.
