Written for narrator, unison voices and piano, this enjoyable 18th-century pop cantata can be performed as a concert piece or staged production. Celebrating the good deeds of Captain Coram, the work is based on information from a variety of sources, most notably from The Story Of The Founding Hospital by Maureen Boyd. It makes an excellent production and can also provide the basis for historical and sociological studies in the classroom. Parts for small instrumental ensemble or string orchestra available on hire. Woodwind and String parts on hire. 19 mins.
