Here's a fast swing work in D minor with violin solo (optional solo written out, changes provided for open improvisation). The title mimics the rhythm of the tune, first presented in the viola and cello. This piece is a great opportunity for students to learn flats and chromatic fingerings. Ranges are very reasonable for all, allowing for concentration on rhythmic and stylistic elements.
