Intrepid is a fast-paced, aggressive, and all-around powerful work for young string players that makes them sound mature beyond their abilities. This energetic piece is perfect for teaching accents, slurs, and both marcato staccato bowing styles. The determined melody passes from section to section, moving through a brief slow, legato section before driving forward to a dramatic conclusion.
