Bill Boyd's masterful craftsmanship is readily apparent in these 11 pieces. Slightly easier than his intermediate-level books, Jazz Delights and Jazz Fest, this solo collection for the early-intermediate pianist explores a variety of jazz styles from blues to swing. Bill's original solos lay out essential style elements in pieces that “fit” a developing pianist's technique easily, providing students with ample opportunity to develop finesse through enticing melodies and subtle harmonies. An imaginative collection of pieces, sure to please any age. Keys: full range; Reading: full range of keyboard; syncopation; 2 – 4 page solos; 24 pages.
