This energetic setting of a tuneful, Israeli folk song, “A Joyful Israeli Canon” is wonderful for teaching syncopated rhythms, independent/unison singing as well as part singing, intonation and rhythmic precision. The accessible keyboard part outlines the melodic and rhythmicchanges. You may consider adding hand drum and finger cymbals to enhanc e the folk-like sound of this exuberant dance.
