The plunger has a long and storied history in the jazz trombone tradition, and this piece continues that legacy. Keep The Stick is flexible enough to feature a single soloist or the entire trombone section and is a great way to introduce your trombone players to the classic sound of the plunger. The chart swings right from the get-go and the roaring shout chorus will not overwhelm the trumpet section. Stop on down to the local hardware store to get a plunger for your trombone soloist and tell the clerk to Keep the Stick!
