Written for the Virginia ACDA Voices United Children's Honor Choir, thisis a Yiddish lament set to an unstoppable dance groove. The rhythms and melodic contour evoke the Middle East without being culturally specific , and driving percussion fuels cantabile vocal lines. A unique piece that will not soon be forgotten!
