A Japanese-made set of three UO-Chikyu fret crowning files for reshaping flattened fret tops after levelling, with profiles for narrow, medium and jumbo frets.

The UO-Chikyu 5002 is a set of three Japanese-made fret crowning files designed to restore the rounded profile of fret tops after levelling.

Each double-sided file has a concave cutting profile suited to a different fret size. The set covers narrow, medium and jumbo frets, providing a practical range for guitar and other fretted instrument work.

The three files are colour-coded for easy identification:

• 1R: 1.47mm (0.058″) cutting width, for narrow frets
• 2R: 2.68mm (0.105″) cutting width, for medium frets
• 3R: 3.88mm (0.153″) cutting width, for jumbo frets

After frets have been levelled, crowning restores a rounded top and defined string contact point, helping prepare the frets for final sanding and polishing.
