An enthusiastic and energetic work which will challenge and inspire young musicians. All performers can really dig in to the aggressive minor theme, while the violas and cellos will shine in the contrasting "B" section. Unison melodies, dynamic themes, and a little bit of pizzicato too, provide valuable teaching moments, and will make "Premonitions" a hit with students and audience alike.
