Progressive Beginner Blues Lead Guitar Book/Online Audio
Progressive Beginner Blues Lead Guitar is an easy and comprehensive introduction to all the sounds used in Blues lead guitar playing.
It is a good idea to have some basic knowledge of guitar before tackling the examples in this book. During the course of the book you will learn all the important scales and arpeggios used in Blues. Each of the scales is presented in a system which covers the whole fretboard and enables you to easily understand what you are playing. As well as this, you will learn all the important rhythms used by Blues players and systems for analyzing both rhythms and scale degrees.
The examples cover a variety of styles such as shuffles, traditional slow Blues, Jazz style Blues, along with R&B and Funk grooves. The book also includes several solos demonstrating how the licks and techniques in each section can be used to create whole solos. Many of the licks and solos are written in the styles of Blues legends like BB King, Albert Collins, Otis Rush, Peter Green and Stevie Ray Vaughan. At the end of the book there are several Jam along progressions which have been recorded onto the accompanying recording for you to practice your licks, solos and improvising.
It's recommended that you use the accompanying audio available (see the front of this book for more details). The book explains the techniques to use, while the audio lets you hear how each example should sound when played correctly.
