Playing duets enhances rhythm and overall playing because performers must really listen to play well with a partner. Catherine Rollin beautifully meshes nostalgia, romance and excitement in this charming set of duets at the intermediate level. The lively dance selections encourage students to explore interesting rhythms and chord patterns and how to balance melody and accompaniment in both parts. Teachers will also enjoy sight-reading these duets at lessons with more advanced students.
