“We travel together, passengers on a little spaceship, dependent on its vulnerable resources of air and soil, all committed for our safetyto its security and peace, preserved from annihilation only by the care , the work, and, I will say, the love we give our fragile craft.” (from Adlai Stevenson's farewell speech to the United Nations) Rx forEarth translates this eloquent message into a musical for elementar y grades, with six good-humored, but thoughtful songs including: Our Spaceship and Our Home • I Was Walking Down the Street • Heat Your House with Sunshine • Chicken Little Had It Right (There Is a Hole in the Sky) • What Ever Happened (to the green-speckled brackle, the great warted hopper, the fringed-footed cuddley) • and OINK! IfYou Litter. Grade Level: 1-6. Perf. Time: Approx. 30 minutes.
