Ruth Schram captures the beauty of a sunset using various hues and word painting in this lush setting for treble ensembles. Sunset presents a bounty of teaching opportunities to reinforce syllabic/word stress, tone development, and intonation. Originally conceived as an a cappella piece, Schram's optional piano accompaniment, if used, supports the needs of the ensemble.
