In his debut work for Grand Mesa Publications, composer Drake here exhibits a great flair for musical drama and a distinct melodic gift! Emotions depicted in this heroic work range from the sadness of a captive to the ecstasy of freedom at the end as various thematic elements come together at the end of the piece for a stirring climax. This is a dramatic, expertly composed musical scenario worthy of advancing bands and a great addition to any concert!
