Chicago based pianist and composer Marianne Kim skillfully merges early musical style with modern melody and harmonies to create a truly beautiful new setting of the traditional text. A rubato piano opening leads to a simple unison melody set in the style of Gregorian Chant. Her harmonic language expands into lush sonorities while the melody soars.
