Featuring strong rhythms and a 5/8 time signature, students will find this meter fun to play and easy to master due to its appealing accents and the well-crafted division of each measure into three beats followed by two beats. Patterns abound throughout, both in the rhythm and the melody. In A-B-A form, the A section is like a toccata in its style and feel, while the B section is more lyrical and uses syncopated pedal.
