The bow is made using a selected, matured Pernambuco stick that has undergone approximately 30 years of storage and drying. The careful selection of the wood is a key distinction of the 22, providing the excellent elastic and mechanical qualities expected from a high-grade Dörfler Master bow.

The 22 is fitted with a selected ebony frog featuring a trimmed slide, a traditional Parisian eye and genuine silver wire winding. Depending on the specification, it is finished with either a three-part ebony button featuring eight inlaid eyes or a solid button with eye.
