A radical modernization of a traditional American spiritual combining shape-note singing, ancient Latin chant and elements of dub step music. Choirs are encouraged to sing with the early American asthetic of vocal tone using a lack of affectation in the voice. Two possible endings – one quiet and one strong – make this setting appropriate for a variety of programs. A truly unique setting. Duration: ca. 3:20
