A very traditional choral approach characterizes this impressive offering. Two distinct sections challenge the choir to capture a luxurious imitative opening before giving way to a rollicking theme in 6/8 that lilts like a Celtic folk song. Set in minor, the journey from darkness to life is more dance than pilgrimage with the anticipation of Advent bringing hopeful joy to every measure. Perfect for pre-Christmas services or concert presentations. Score and Parts (pic, vn, vc, perc) available as a digital download.
