Uses: Christmas, Epiphany

Scripture: Isaiah 60:1; John 8:12

Written in a light classical style, this buoyant Epiphany piece is a good choice for the season. “Arise and Shine” is the blessed admonishment to the children of light, and this tuneful interpretation captures the joy of God's glory that came to earth. The hide-a-carol that forms the middle section (TEMPUS ADEST FLORIDUM) is a delight, and the brief performance length, along with the SAB voicing, make this a thoughtful choice for post-Christmas services. Part for handbells (3 octaves) available as a digital download.
